This serves as the first post I’ll make on this blog, which I hope is the first of very many. I’m honestly making this to flesh out the theme a bit to see how I want to lay it out, but I may as well put something with some meat so here’s what I’m thinking of doing for No Bull in the short and distant future.
I want to start by posting the most in the Getting Started category because at it’s heart, that is what this website is about. If I’m only partly responsible for a single person leaving their crummy day job or one person finding this as their job after a layoff or injury, and turn internet marketing into a full time career for themselves, I’ll be ecstatic and consider this a success.
I’m going to start out with the LiveFyre plugin to encourage blog posting and more importantly, gather some extra helpful comments from some IMers that may have more experience add to the blog posts. This is a replacement comment system that takes social media and blends it with the blog comments in real time and also allows readers to leave backlinks to their own blog posts ala CommentLuv. I chose to start with LiveFyre because in the future I would love to do a lot of give-aways and have it happen in real time over Twitter or whatever.
I plan on opening up to guest bloggers. I would love to invite in seasoned IMers that aren’t trying to push a product, but just giving some great advice to beginners that they wish they would have known starting out.
I plan on making fun of the “quirks” of the IM world. After spending a decent amount of time in this market, I find a lot of things hilarious and hilarious/sad. From sales copy phrases to the emails I get from marketers pushing WSOs.
I want to grab as many products as possible to test them first hand before doing a straight, hardcore review. This will be done as money allows. I’m not a friggin’ millionaire yet, but I can sure pretend to be (like most of the sales copies read).
I want to state right now, hidden in this sprawl of text that I tend to use “grown up” language. I spend all day in business mode so I hope I can be myself a let loose with the tongue when working on this project, without offending too many people.
So, that’s what I’m looking at for the blog as time allows outside the daily running of the biz. Keep in touch!
