Learning Internet Marketing Isn’t Hard
Internet marketing falls under the “dream job” category for a lot of folks. It’s that job that most think of when they picture themselves working from home in their underwear and waking up at noon. It’s also a route that a lot of people seek to learn about when they’ve been laid off from their regular job out in the trenches. Stay-at-home moms (and dads!) especially look into learning internet marketing to supplement their spouses income while also being able to take care of the kids at home. The good news is that internet marketing and all it’s sub-categories aren’t that difficult to learn, but it definitely takes time to master!
Internet marketing is kind of an umbrella term in that many components make up “internet marketing”. Here’s some examples you may or may not have heard of: Affiliate marketing, product marketing, article marketing, ebook creation, Pay-to-Click, Paid Surveys. All of these are different ways you can make money at home online and are just some of the categories of IM.
I’d like to start out with going over briefly two of the easiest methods. And I mean easiest in takes the least amount of time and effort to start seeing a positive cash flow, and the least amount of risk.
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a pretty simple concept at it’s core: Sell other people’s stuff and take a cut of the profit.
I’ll create another post later going into detail on this one, but you can get started today with this small brief. Many stores you already know have affiliate programs. Wal-Mart, Disney and Amazon.com for example. The first two stores use an affiliate network in where a separate company takes care of their affiliate program, so you need to sign up through them. Disney in particular uses the largest affiliate network, Commission Junction. So to begin, you would sign up for a CJ.com account which is fast and free, and then apply to Disney or one of thousands of other stores in their network. Once approved, you simply pick an offer that you like or think will convert customers and drive traffic through your provided affiliate link.
Amazon.com has it’s own affiliate program in house. This is also free to signup to. After being accepted, they provide you tools to use beyond simple links and banners to help you drive customers to their offers and buy their stuff.
Like I said, this overview is the easy way, so how do you drive easy traffic? You can send the link to your friends! Email, Facebook, Twitter. Post the link recommending the product and maybe some of your friends and family will buy your promotion. Secondly, you can include your link in forum profiles and on blogs that you may follow or write.
Paid-To-Click
PTC sties have been around for a while. It’s also pretty simple: You get paid to click on people’s advertisements. Going this route you do have to be a little careful. These sites are unregulated like affiliate networks are, and some are even run by teenagers (not to knock the youngun’s, but they do have a reputation of shutting down shop and running with the money…). Try researching around for a well-known reputable site before investing your time. One of the best and most popular is Neobux. They have a proven track record and pay out on time.
Though PTC is a straight-forward easy option, be aware that it does pay peanuts and can take quite a while to generate a respectable income.
These are some of the ways in which to learn internet marketing, and we’ll be posting up some more in-depth and additional methods soon!
